Vurno vs MMI

MMI tells you which agents close. Vurno tells you what to do this morning.

MMI is a data company: county-record transactions, agent production and lender relationships, sold by quote. Vurno is a daily workflow for your own book: the homeowner report, the to-do list with the message drafted, and the agents you're courting, from $97 a month. They overlap on agent listing alerts. Here is the rest.

In fairness

Where MMI is stronger.

If one of these is the thing you need, MMI is the better buy today, and we’d rather you know before the trial than after.

  • The data itself

County-record transactions with 95% U.S. coverage, agent history back to 2018, which lenders each agent closes with and what share of their business is yours. Vurno's agent data is public listing-portal data: recent sales, local activity, ratings and top-agent status. If you buy MMI for the records, Vurno is not a substitute.

  • Matchmaker

MMI suggests agents you've never worked with who close deals like yours in your area, refreshed daily. Vurno finds agents by search and grade; it doesn't match them to your production.

  • Watching past clients beyond their home

MMI's credit-pull alerts (in alpha) and its Property Monitor with seller and agent details go further than Vurno's listing signal. Vurno watches the home's value, equity, listing status and the homeowner's own engagement, not their credit file.

  • A platform for lenders

MMI serves enterprise lenders with recruiting data, intelligence boards, ChatMMI and sister products for borrower monitoring and outreach. Vurno is built for a loan officer or a small team.

Why loan officers pick Vurno

Six things that are different on day one.

  1. 01

    A price you can see

Vurno Solo is $97 a month, listed, with a 14-day trial and no NMLS gate. MMI quotes per seat after a demo.

  2. 02

Something your past clients actually receive

A monthly report under your brand that teases the value, shows the sales nearby and brings them to a page where they can ask you a question. MMI has no homeowner-facing email.

  3. 03

    You start with a list

Every morning: who listed, who went hot, whose rate crossed, who asked a question, each with the call, email and text drafted. MMI's alerts arrive by email and leave the next step to you.

  4. 04

    Texts from your own number

Vurno texts you, never the homeowner. Tap the alert and your Messages app opens with the client's number and a draft typed.

  5. 05

    Agents on your terms

Search a ZIP, grade the agents, move the good ones through a pipeline. From Meeting Set on, Vurno watches their listings, open houses and closings and drafts the congratulations, or sends them for you once you switch that on.

  6. 06

Works with the tools you have

Closed loans come in by CSV, by email, by webhook or from GoHighLevel and Follow Up Boss. Signals go back out the same way.

Questions people ask when they’re switching.

Is Vurno a replacement for MMI?

It depends on why you'd buy MMI. If it's for the transaction records, lender relationships and wallet share, no; plenty of loan officers would run both. If it's for listing alerts on partner agents and a nudge when a past client's home lists, Vurno covers that and adds the homeowner report and the daily list on top.

Where does Vurno's agent data come from?

Public listing-portal data: recent sales, local activity, ratings and top-agent status, graded A+ to D. It is not county-record transaction data, and it does not show which lenders an agent works with.

Does Vurno alert me when a past client's credit is pulled?

No. Vurno watches the home and the homeowner's engagement with your emails and page: value, equity, listing status, rate gap, PMI, questions they ask you. Nothing from a credit file.

Do I need an NMLS ID to sign up?

No. Your NMLS goes on your reports and signature once you add it under Settings, but it isn't a gate.

Is there a contract?

No. Plans are month to month or annual, and you cancel from Billing. The trial is 14 days with no card.

Is this comparison up to date?
